Good to know... is that the place near Walker Springs?

I do believe it is. I'm not real familiar with the exits however, I do know if you get on Kingston Pike from Joann's and turn right he is about a mile or so up on the left.

I'm not really familiar with that part of town either! If you don't mind, inbox me his name and number if you have it handy

Oh, I am so glad your machine is only in a rehab/nursing home rather than a morgue! Many recover in nursing homes.

Gah!! I'm so upset! I got the part this morning and it doesn't fit in there right! I have emailed the company I bought it from, because it says on the bottom of the invoice it says, "If the item has installation/fitment issues - Please contact me and I will do my best to assist you. The replacement parts for vintage machines often require a special approach to install, and may not always look exactly like the original". Of course, she is on vacation until Tuesday, so maybe next week, I'll be quilting again.

Sorry I didn't see your post until now. Did you get the new Brother machine from Amazon?

I did. We had some car problems, so I sent it back for a refund. I liked it tho, I might get it later on when we're in a better place, financially. I did get to play with it for one night, and it did better than the Juki 98 I had. When I put my thread on it (it came with a bobbin already filled), it started skipping stitches, and I didn't mess with it to find out what was causing the problem.

Thanks for the address.. it was the place I was thinking of. Pfaffy has a few other issues, none of them serious (except the broken lever), so it probably wouldn't kill her to go to the doctor. It's good to know where the doctor is! I hope I got the right part.

I bet when you get your Pfaff fixed you"ll be in machine heaven for awhile. I love my 1222E and I picked up a barely used Pfaff Tipmatic 6120 off of CL for a steal. If it had been used for a complete quilt I would be shocked. I have seen more lint in demo machines. I bought a straight Stitch plate for it for piecing since I can't find one for the 1222E. I got a top done in less than a week. I actually have 2 tops ready/waiting to be quilted. A good working machine makes all the difference in the world. Take the 1229 in and have him work his magic, you'll be glad you did.
