Hi all,

Someone asked about the Rose Kretzinger quilts when I first joined this message board.

I happend to drive by the Spenser Museum of Art on the Kansas University campus today and guess what?,,,

They have a nice display of about 20 quilts from their permantent collection dating from 1824 - 1935 and 3 or 4 of Rose's quilts hanging.

They will be on display until October 12, 2008.

Judy

Sorry, I misspelled her last name...

Rose Kretsinger was an award winning appliquer in the 1930's from Emporia, Kansas. She wrote a book with Carrie Hall called "Romance of the Patchwork Quilt.
