Default Rowenta steam iron with generator

I purchased it April of 2015 and I loved it till yesterday when the what exploded out of the generator. I had stepped away to hang up the shirts I had just ironed. My DH heard rattling and suddenly the iron spewed water down a wall and all over the floor. About 6 foot area. Thankfully I did not get burned. What a mess. Please beware

Wow! I would definitely contact the manufacturer as well. Don't think < 2 years that should be normal behavior.

Good to hear that no one was hurt! Someone is watching over you! I hope you have the original paperwork and can have some kind of resolution with the seller/manufacturer.

Oh wow....I have a Rowenta though maybe not the one you have. The other day, it spit out crud from the steam vent from the flat iron on a piece of fabric I was ironing. Have no idea what caused that. It was yucky so I pulled out my old iron to work on my quilt...then cleaned it really good. Not sure if I fixed it. Thanks for the heads up...
