I think it looks lovely. However, you are commenting about the corners being pointed. You can make them less pointed if you, instead of stitching straight to the corner, you come down 1/4 inch. You start tapering about 2 inches from the corner and go down slowly 1/4 inch, then when go you up around the corner, you go slowly back up, etc. With a large pillow you start this about 4 inches from the corner. This will make the pillows less pointy. Play with it the next time, I think this looks fine the way it is though.I hope you understand what I am trying to say, it is easier to draw it out, but I don't know how. Have fun at the wedding.

I think it's lovely. I was married in 1967 and my mother made my dress. I have been wondering what to do with it and have decided to make ring bearer pillows for my six grandchildren when they get married.

I wouldn't change the pillow. As said before, the quilt police won't be getting a good picture of it when it is being walked/runned down the aisle. FYI For my daughter's wedding I made the ring bearer's pillow and put elastic (2 pieces) on the bottom - one for each hand. That satin is slippery!!

years ago i 'outlined' a square pillow with tiny white silk flowers and white silk leaves to soften the edges. you could have done that with little matching beads glued to the centers, but you said you found your own solution. what did you decide to do? can you post an updated pic?
