Is anyone else like me?
I have a big mat, but still like to do it the way you said (fold the fabric twice). I have one the clear rulers, I think it is probably 6.5x12.5 that has the rough spots on the back that keeps it from slipping around. I use that one more than any others. I even put little sandpaper spots on my long ruler to keep it from slipping, and I still like to cut a shorter cut.

When I started out, I used mostly a 6 x 24. Now I prefer my 6.5 x 12.5. Squares that get a lot of use" 4.5, 6.5, 12.5.

Feathers-n-Fur,

I agree with you. I use the same rulers all the time. 6x24 is ackward.

Because I prefer big blocks, I use my 6x24" and 3x18" rulers the most. I have just gotten a June Tailor Shape Cut and have used it a lot in the last couple of days. I don't know if there is a Shape Cut larger than 12 inches, but if there is, I will probably buy one. I don't like to fold my fabrics more than once since I can't keep the inside folds straight.

6-1/2x24 and 3-1/2x24...and also my short cut ruler used the most and also use a lot my 6-1/2x6-1/2. I use about every other ruler I have on a pretty regular basis too...have square rulers in lots of sizes...just depends on the project I am working on. my largest ruler is a 20-1/2" square and I am glad I have that when I need it.

I don't like my ShapeCut. I use the 8 1/2" x 24" the most!
