That was my thought, too. But, no, it doesn't look like it has that ability.

On my featherweight I put the stitch length to 0 and free motion quilt

Some people free motion quilt with the feed dogs up. Have you tried that?

Can you change the pressure of the presser foot. Many machines have an adjustment that does this. On my 1977 Viking it was a knob on the top. It was handy when sewing especially thick or thin material. If your machine will let you do this then raise the presser foot until you can get the material to move freely.
