I guess the fabric has got so high that shops just can't stay in
business and make anything. Most are just renting a place, rent
is probably getting way out of reach for them. That is just my
opinion.

It's true, that with the economic downturn... those of us who can... really need to support our LQS's. Even if it's only a $10 purchase, at least it's something.

Yeah, it's too bad that a bunch of folks couldn't get together and move it to a no or low rent option. Would have to make sure it's zoned commercial though...

We had 4 LQS up until the first part of 2011, now we have only 2. Economy and family issues caused 2 to close. Sad.

No, they retired several yrs. ago, their daughter has run the shop for the past 12 years, and done a fantastic job.
On their website, it says they are closing due to the failing health of the owners.
