Will the quilt police come after me if I just pick whatever blocks I want to learn for a sampler quilt?

Thought I'd just start down the list at quilterscache making whatever 12" blocks tickle my fancy and look challenging. Then just try different layouts until I like it.

The quilt would be king size so I'd need quite a few blocks!

Quilting is like eating. You pick what u like not what everyone thinks u should eat. Just make sure your finished blocks r the same size and your good to go

Let them just try to come for you. It's a wonderful idea. We've got your back (I also knit and have very long needles at the ready).

I don't see any problem with that. Isn't that what a sampler quilt should be? I say go for it.

Pssst! The Quilt Police don't exist. Should you encounter one of the imposters, just keep on doing what you were doing, the way you were doing it!

Why couldn't you pick whatever blocks you wanted to do. It is your quilt and you can do whatever you please.

I remember way back in the 80s, someone told me , "A little bit of yellow goes a very long way." Well, my favorite color is yellow and a "little bit" is not nearly enough! Just look at my avatar.

Good luck with your project and do it your way!

Kathy
