I am trying to do a quilt using the block from your tutorial(disappearing 4 patch) using dark/light blocks and solid/ print 6 " squares
I have question on sashing --Is sashing used to frame each block & give the eye a rest between each color block?
Are the border and sashing the same color? Is the sash usually 2 1/2" and the border 3"
Thanks for any advice
:-) Jeanne

Hi Jeanne, you can if you wish. Some do and some don't. I made a D9P and decided not to use sashing. I really like the way it came out.

I also just finished a D9P and didn't use any sashing or border. Love it :)

Your choice! I usually don't do sashings, but I like borders.

I think I like it better without sashings but it is your choice.
