Will be heading up north on the 12th of May for a long weekend..actually staying in Brimley...and looking for quilt shops in that area.

Anyone from da u.p. that can let me know of quilting stores.

Thanks.

There's one on Ashmun St. called the Quilted Moose, I think. As you head toward the main part of town, it is in a house on the left hand side.

Oh yeah! I was hoping they had at least one shop. I will check it out when we go to the Soo Locks - my parents love going to that every year.

QUILTED MOOSE
1812 ASHMUN ST
SAULT STE MARIE MI 49783

906- 253-9886

ALSO GEORGIA B W1044 OLD PORTAGE TRAIL
ST IGNACE MI 49781
906-643-7726

If you are driving up I-75 there are other quilt shops on the trip up.... get yourself a copy of THE COUNTRY REGISTER and plan your trip with the QS in mind. A lot of quilt shops advertise in that little newsletter.

My hubby usually gets upset if we have to stop until I remind him of all the times we have to stop for fishing gear....

have a good trip

Thanks!
Yes, we always stop in Clare so I can get my Newspaper with all the quilt shops.

I'm traveling with my mom, dad, sister, and friend, ... I know for sure I can get my mom to go to the Soo with me, but I'm not sure I can pull out any other stops...but I will definitely try!

Thanks for the info.

Gloria Larke has a marvelous quilt/knit shop in the MI
Soo.
Don't miss it! The name is unusual: Gloria's Happy Hooker

I just deleted my delete box this afternoon. Gloria's May special for quilting is 20 percent off all rulers. Since I'm not going to be in the area, I deleted the post.
