I think the rotary blade revolutionized the quilting world when it was introduced in 1985. Unless I am quilting with templates, ALWAYS a rotary blade. My fave is a Fiskars all-in-one, but they are not available any more.

I love my rotary and use both depending on what it is. But my faves are my Fiskers, Olfa and Ginghers! I have to hide the Ginghers from the kids. I have a couple of pairs of $2.00 ones you get from Walmart or Dollar General store for paper and such.

Fiskars are great. Just make sure your can get blades. I like the middle size, and have to order online because Wal- Mart has stopped carrying the blades and the rotary cutter. Invest in a large self healing cutting mat and ruler and you will wonder why you ever used scissors. Maerry Christmas and Happy New Year. but, most of all Happy Quilting.
