I have made a scrappy hexagon quilt with 30's reproduction prints the same pattern as GFG with the flowers being all different (each hexie), and the background different shades of white and I think the different shades of white just add to the scrappiness of it. I hope this makes sense.

Me too! I love hexies and the 30s reproduction fabric and would love to see a gfg done using this fabric.

Have you seen this pattern with the 3d petals? I saw a quilt like this in a show this weekend and it is awesome!

Oh these are both cute, and quite different. Have you done any like this? Do you know if the ones that are gathered are hexes or some other shape?

Went further on buttons and butterflies and read about the loss of her daughter....so sad, have tears in my eyes as I am writing this.....

I've just started making these fun little guys. It is so addicting. And easy. I thought it would be a lot more work than it is. It's just the time involved but that's the fun of it. I'm working on hexies on my down time and it feels like fun not work!

Here is a picture of my 16 patch scrappy hexagon. I used the idea that Auntiggylpn posted on page 2.
