Default Scratches and cuts in the sewing room.

I was at the pediatrician with my grandson. The Dr. noticed a cut on my hand. I said it is from my fabric scissors, they are sharp. She said be sure you tetanus is up to date. You probably use pins and other sharp metal tools. I went to the pharmacy this morning to pick up my meds and got a tetanus shot there. Good for ten years.

I need mine next year but I think I'll do it at my annual this year since I also garden a bit (and have roses). Our dr is very worried about stuff like that and the one time we went in and he asked about getting one and on the charts put "deep laceration from rose bush" on both our charts to make sure the ins would pay for it! haha. They were tiny scratches, but a few on each of us.

Good reminder! I'm always jagging myself with pins. Thankfully mine is up to date!

Pharmacy didn't charge me anything, so Medicare paid for it.

Thanks, Onebyone. Since I can't remember my last one it seems timely to get one now.

I just got a notice from Medicare about this very thing, they said they now cover them co-pay free! So yes, make sure to get them up to date!!

Although since I do get them every 8-9 years I'm not too worried, I'm more worried about keeping pins in my mouth!! Scares me, but I just can't break it! Even after seeing that Little House episode with the guy swallowing those nails, still makes me think of it every time I do it. Still can't break it even worrying about the metals that must be in them!! Maybe those wrist things will work for me?!
