I got a good deal on the Internet for a Husqvarna Topaz 20 machine with embroidery accessories. However, the only dealer in our town does not give lessons on how to use the embroidery part.

Does anyone have one of these machines? Or does anyone have information on resources I can access to learn how to set up and use the embroidery accessories properly? I want to do is use it for quilt designs in blocks or along borders.

Help?

Try contacting Husqvarna via the internet and see if they offer tutorials or helps on their website. Good Luck and enjoy:)

I don't know about your machine, but I wanted to say I love the little poem you have. Very touching.

I also think going into Husgvarna's own web site might help you alot.

ALSO, many of the dealers for Viking sells books esp. for your machine. No, not the manual... a real how-to on what can be done with your Viking model. I remember when we lived in Stuart FL, the dealer there had a wall of books for the machines. Perhaps if you google.com search of the LARGEST Viking Sewing Machine dealer you can find something?

Sure hope you can find something to let you play with your machine with confidence.

This link might have something --- if not, email them and see if they can point you in the right direction for HOW-TO manuals on your Viking.

GO TO sewmuch4retirement.com; they have cd's that you can order for tutorials for all of the machines. I got one for my Viking #1 and it is great; very easy to understand. It also has other things on the site that might help. They are fast shipping them out so you'll have it in no time. Good luck.

Gladgrams,
You should have a users manual with your machine. It will have a section on embroidery. Sit down with your book at the machine and read and do word by word. It works! Some processes you have to do more than once before it makes sense. That's how I learned my Designer I in the beginning. As for the techie stuff like tension, density, resizing, that's another whole matter.
Just don't let it stress you out...not worth it. Just fabric and thread.
