Does anyone get packages made up in advance for the Secret Pal swap and then just put a few personalized items in when you get your partner instead of stressing over making one up at the last minute to avoid the stress on the mailing date countdown?

I havent gotten into the swing of things yet. I would love to have a stash of sp stuff and then personalize it. Maybe someday, but right now I get it together after I get my sp's name.

Deanna I do watch for sale items etc when I am out shopping then add the extra special touches when it comes time to mail out the package. BUT I live 25 miles from the nearest town so getting items ahead of time helps. I haven't done the SP the past 2 months due to some health & personal family issues. I do hope to join back in soon. crafty_linda_b sittin' & quiltin' on the Cal-Ore border

I buy nice specialty items on sale/clearance and keep them in my gift box for quilting pals. If it's something I really like for myself I buy two.

I pick up things that I see that I think someone might like. I try to fund some unique things and something that says New York. The hardest thing is making something ahead of time. Now that I'm back at work, I don't have much time :( Too many papers to read.

Hi Dianemarie. Lori Peercy is the person that has been doing the swap. Closer to the end of the month, She will do a post on joining.

I have a "stash" bag for sp swaps.. I put in things I find on sale or fun things I find. I also sew a few small things and put in my stash too. And then I personalize when I am given my sp so there is something special just for them.

All great ideas. How much simpler if some things are already purchased.
