Some new prompts I have found this week:
Block technique prompts (ie make a warped grid based block)
Colour based (ie "make a monochromatic block")
"it has been raining for days"

Interesting concept, y'all. My quilting agenda is way to long to take on something like this, but I will be lurking. Know photos will be coming. What a pleasant way to instigate creativity.

Science: microscope images, patterns in nature - Ernst Heckel’s wondrous book, plankton, diatoms, butterfly wing scales, snail shells and sea shells, insect eyes (hexagons galore!); weeds: wonderful! Weeds are just plants growing in places where we don’t want them, but they are often so interesting. Inspiration is absolutely everywhere; my problem is filtering much of it out - too much crowding of too many ideas!!

Here’s a link (am I allowed to do that??!) to one of the many versions of Ernst Haeckel, for anyone who doesn’t know him, or for anyone who does know that I spelt his name wrongly in the previous post!

How about favorite book titles? Little Women, Little House on the Prairie, Nancy Drew...

Or "my favorite things" - spaghetti, the color purple, tulips...

Gosh, I have never heard of this before and don’t have a clue what it is or how this works, but it sounds intriguing! If someone would explain what it is, I would appreciate it! TIA!
