It wasn't hard to do in EQ6. This in an 8" finished block.

These are just somethingelse. A pretty checked sashing would work. These are too cute. Good luck locating the pattern

Oh my goodness, they are absolutely amazing!

I'd been keen on doing a swap too.... like pam's done above, the pattern wouldn't be too hard to make. And you could embellish each one so easily. Imagine with all the internationals we have in here the native costumes and daily dress styles we could have!

You'd have to make that a looooong swap for each person to do 12 of them!

That would be pretty cool though.

It can be done in PDF from EQ6 to hand out? Not sure since I never tried.

Yep.... it would be hard work wouldn't it! Maybe a smaller swap, say a set of four, or six... so there'd be two girls and two boys, or three girls and three boys. They could be set on point with plain squares in between to set them off.

You can create a pdf file easy enough, not sure if you do it straight from eq6, but it's easy to turn a picture into a pdf. I use a program called CutePDF, it's like having a virtual printer attached to the pc, only instead of printing a hard copy it creates a pdf file.

Absolutely delightful blocks! You are quite blessed to receive them.

And I agree, I would love to see more of those 50 blocks that you are hiding. Probably afraid a quilt crew will come and swipe them away, LOL.

warm quilt hugs, sue

This is true creative workmanship or work"wo"menship. You are absolutely right they do deserve that justice is done so as to preserve them. They are unique, as all of the posts testify, because no one seems to have ever seen anything like them!

It would be wonderful if you could publish pics of each of them so we can see them and maybe try to make some for ourselves. If you are not adverse to that.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is a treasure.

Fun blocks for sure, lucky you! Pee wee that kreationsbykaren site you posted has great settings, love the one with embroidery in the sashing.

I have been thinking that it might be fun to make a boy/girl combination from the fabric of each quilt I make. I would have a record of them and some adorable blocks to put together.

Wouldn't be much extra work to do two of them at a time.
