sewing on binding
#3
I used to use double thread, but I use single thread now. I don't even do a blind stitch anymore, just a...funny, I am not sure what it is called...slip stitch maybe? I haven't had any problems with my bindings coming "undone."

I sew all my bindings down by machine. I guess I am of the mind that the bindings get a lot of tugging and pulling. I don't want them to come loose....ever! I also use a decorative stitch to give just a bit of "pretty" to an otherwise boring part of the quilt!

I have enough trouble with one thread getting knotted up to much to even attempt using two threads. I have found that the waxed beading thread makes excellent binding thread. It comes in lots of colors and is thin and doesn't get all tangled or fussy.
