    I use single strand and never had a problem. Make sure your using good quality thread and it shouldn't be a problem!

    I use a single strand and I use the stitch that Missouri Star Quilts uses for binding. She has a good tut on it on YouTube.

    I found a way to keep double thread from tangling, don't know where I learned it.

    It's simple: knot each thread separately. It's worked for me for years.

    I use double thread also. I really don't have room or need so many different color of thread spools, so I purchase embroidery thread in the color to match.
