That is where I am set up and it seems to work just fine for me.

My sewing and laundry are in the same room. It is a large room. I have never had any issues with them being the same.

I think any room big enough to include a sewing room is a great idea. If moisture from your laundry isn't a problem the I say go for it. Have fun!

I used the laundry room for many years then when all the kids came along it was a corner in our large master bedroom. What ever works, enjoy.

I have never lived any place with a big enough laundry room. Space would be my only concern.

A friend, in her newly built home, had her sewing room inside the laundry room. She had a large island just outside the sewing room door (in her kitchen) so it was easy to step out and use the island when she needed it. She loved her sewing room inside the laundry room.

QuiltnNan....I clicked on the link expecting to see something about a sewing room and laundry room combined. What opened for me was Rob from Man Sewing talking about free motion quilting. Was that the wrong link or did I not watch it long enough to see sewing/laundry?

DH installed a vent fan in the ceiling of our laundry room. It keeps all the moisture out of the room.
