Sewing machine. Have you given yours a name?

When I started quilting, I traded in my 20 year-old White for a Janome 6600 and a Janome Jem (for the free-arm). I named them Edward and Bella. A few years later, I added a Janome 7700 to my collection, named Thor, and then last year I traded Thor in for Loki, a Janome 8900. I just love my Edward, Bella, and Loki!

How cute the names are ! My granddaughters named my Pfaff Ambition 1.5 Purps as the top of it is purple. LOL The rest are just known by their maker names.

I have two Featherweights - - they are Lilly (Lillian) and Izzy (Isabelle). My Juki is Nelli (as in "WHOA Nellie!! as she's sometimes feels like she's running away with me) and my Bernina is Diva (I bought her for myself in honor of my divorce from my first husband and because she's high maintenance, LOL!).

I've got a small family. My oldest is Flora, a Kenmore, next is Pat she's a Singer, Then my Dana, a Janome, my newest member is RC, he's a Brother. My serger is Mary. They all help me in various projects and are very special to me, Flora will have been with me 42 years next April. She helped me sew for my four children in those early years. Now they all help me make Quilts!

I have 6 Vintage Singers and have named them all. Miss Ruby Rose, Miss Gertie, Miss Stella, Miss Eunice, Miss Chloe, and Miss Cleopatra. Love them all and so happy to hear that I am not the only one that tags a name to their machines, LOL
