My husband and I are thinking of purchasing a Sailrite Ultrafeed sewing machine for making cushions, bimini or canvas covers, and sewing sails for our 30 ft. Catalina sailboat. Have any of you used one of these machines, or heard any pros/cons on this machine. Some of this work is simply too huge and heavy to do on my home machine. Any feedback from anyone that has experience with this machine? Thanks for any advice.

Never heard of this one, but know that most industrial machines will handle what you want to do. Consew is one that would work. Not sure of the price difference between the two, but I'd shop around for the best price. Also, the consew has a good mechanical rep.

My son bought one for making sails for kiteboarding and loves it. Very heavy duty and can handle sails and other types of heavy material.
