I have a similar one that I snagged from Craig's List for $20. Love it and I believe you will too.

Have you thought about using the bed lifters that go under the legs to raise up your present table? I live in a 5th wheel camper & I cut on the island counter in my kitchen area & I use a 6' folding table on our deck for spray basting & doing things that require larger areas. Of course I live in Florida so I quilt outside on that larger table all winter.

Check out Gidget tables, both I and II. I have 4 of them and find them very sturdy, and the plexi-glass surround is available. Last I knew they were selling for $99 delivered.

I'm short also and for me the solution was a student wood desk (veneer - hollow inside type) that measures 60 x 25 inches so there is quite a bit of space. The desk is 28.5 inches high but very sturdy so I set my embroidery machine on that. The best part of this desk is the extension table that slides in an out. Fully extended it measures 27.5 by 15.5 inches and is 26.5 inches tall. That where I have my straight stitch machine. Neither machine is set-in but this is working well for me so far.

I have ordered the table. I will post a picture when I get it set up. I figure the worse that can happen is that I will take it back

I have two computer tables, one folds, one doesn't and it was left when tenet moved out. I got one for $50.00 like new and the other free. If money is tight, check out for people selling computer tables. Both of mine are sturdy and machine fits in keyboard slot. Now all I need is room to set them up. Looks like a nice table, hope you enjoy it.

In one of her books, Harriet Hargrave suggests a particular brand of computer table. I found 2 similar computer tables in a thrift store for $20 each. They are heavier than the Walmart one you linked to, but work fine even without an acrylic fill-in surround. I have not had anything fall in or snag, and the best thing is that there is plenty of room for my long legs. You might want to check with a place that sells used office equipment.

I solved the height issue with folding tables that I got at Sam's that adjust to 3 different heights. They look like this. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lifetime-...anite/20690048 This one is at Walmart but they are available other places as well. To add greater flexibility I got 4 pieces of 1x6 cut to a little longer than the spread of the front to back leg distance. This allows me to put one or two boards under the legs to adjust the height even more. The are wonderful at the highest point for cutting and I have another one that I put to a low point for my machine. They also fold compactly when not in use.
