miholmes I am game. By the way loved what you did with your house.

My sewing studio is wonderful but it is directly under the rafters so my storage area are little doors that lead to the space hidden under the rafters that are too low to be part of the room. Consequently I have to kind of crawl in there, on hands and knees, and I chronically bonk my head. I hope to post pictures maybe later.

I'm all for it. My quilting/sewing room is way too small for all the fancy cabinetry etc. that some books show. In fact most of the books on setting up a sewing room show wonderful ideas, as long as you've got a large space to utilize those ideas. Just like a lot of us, I need practical ideas for a small room. 8-)

Here's something I recently saw in a magazine. Go to a commercial restaurant supply store and buy a bun rack. This is similar to the racks at Ikea where people put their trays when finished eating. Each tray can store a separate project.

Now, if I only had the $$$ and the space for a bun rack!
If I only had the $$$ and the space, AND the commercial restaurant supply store!

Here is the link to using the food containers that you never thought about. I love this idea.

I have a very small sewing room, and wish for a much larger one. But I have made use of just about every single inch of space in it. I have lots of equipment too. I'm always on the lookout for better ways to organize things, and how to better utilize more of the space available to me. If I ever get it cleaned up again, and learn how to put pictures on here, I'll share what I have done. DH has been so helpful to build shelves, install lighting, etc.
