I wanted to use a cone for my next quilting project. Guess I need to go to the fabric store and get the one I want.

Annaquilts, can't believe you had issues with the 6500! I never had any issues with any kind of thread with my 6500 - even used monofilament in the bobbin and no problems. Sounds like your dealer needs to do some fine tuning to me. Seriously, I used silk threads and 30 weights going from one to the other with no adjustments at all except to loosen the top tension for the silk. Hate that you managed to get a thread snob - mine loves Coats and Clark! Bad machine, bad, bad machine!
