I used to have that happen more times than I care to admit. Now have a machine that warns me when the bobbin is low. Just wish someone could explain why the bobbin runs out when I only have a few inches left to sew.

Not only do I sew at home, but my full time job is I do industrial sewing too, I've worked for the company for almost 10 yrs. and I still hate it when I run out of bobbin thread, why can't someone think of a way to have continuous bobbin thread like on a serger?

Been there, done that, so many times that it made me say bad words. The new Singer my son gave me gives a warning beep when the thread is undone and I can remedy the problem before I get frustrated. By the way, I love the thread cutter and needle threader on this machine. Also the up/down needle position and the start/stop button for certain projects.

Did that the other day on about four strips. My hearing is not that great so don't often hear the difference.Really like the idea of using washable marker on the first couple of inches. NOW if I can just REMIND myself to do that it might work. BrendaK

I have done this many times. Now I make it a habit to listen to my machine. It sounds different when it is out of bobbin thread. No not a fancy machine. Just a plain and simple Singer.

PS, I would like to send a pic beside my name and info but for some reason this Mac computer can't figure it out....or maybe it's just me !!!

Don't know why it's always a surprise when the bobbin is empty.

No I don't go too far because my machine makes a different sewing sound when the bobbin gets low. I am a lucky one. :D

All the time... I have done more than one WOF strip to find out I ran out two strips ago, cause I just let them fall to the back of my machine without paying attentions.
