All the time. I try to fill numerous bobbins ahead of time whenever I start a new project. That way it will take less time to pop in a full one when I do what you've just done!

We refer to that as "air sewing" in our little quilt group!

Well, that was after sewing 4 sets of strips without a bobbin thread (8.5" strips... 4 of them... chain piecing, so not having to lift the presser foot, or cut threads... but you would think I would have noticed! LOL)

I like stopping to fill a bobbin, gives me a chance to stretch out my back... need a better chair.

Just thought I would share my... oh my gosh... moment

we need an alarm for when the bobbin is getting close to empty hehe
Someone mentioned previously to fill 2 bobbins, one for bobbin and one for top thread instead of spool. when top thread bobbin was getting low, you would know that your bobbin was also low. sounds like a great idea.

At least once during every large project and I've been at this for more years than I care to admit. LOL

I am going to try and put a bobbin where the thread goes and see if that helps me to run out at the same time. Has anyone tried that.-- J

When I run out of thread or it breaks or???? my machine stops - no more sewing until I figure out why it stopped, and usually it is the bobbin that needs thread.
