Shoes or Not???

Count me in too! We don't wear shoes in the house either, but do wear slippers in winter. More often than not, I can't find them because I've kicked them all off in my sewing room...You'd think I'd start looking there first!

I wear shoes at all times, usually just slippers or flip-flops in the house. I don't like the idea of sweaty feet on carpet, and I'd be too lazy to keep taking shoes off for some process like sewing only to have to put them back on to walk across the room. While sewing I'm up and down constantly to iron and trim, and being barefoot would increase the chance of catching a pin in my foot, too.
I have always had cats, and if once in all the years I have ever squooshed into a hair ball, that also would tend to make me dedicated to foot gear forevermore.

I'm a barefoot G.R.I.T.S. but I've never done the one shoe off, one shoe on (I get a chuckle just thinking about the look on the postman's face!) However, my mother once went to work with one red shoe and one navy blue shoe on! When she retired they did a skit and it included 2 colors of shoe. I asked mom if she'd done the navy blue/black thing and she said not, it was not that subtle.

I am usually barefooted. However I also reverse my pedal so its more like driving a car. I guess I do it so when my foot is at rest I don't have to take my foot off the pedal and I don't have to worry about sewing my finger. Does anyone else reverse the pedal.
