Here is a picture of my sisters YBR that I quilted last week. I just used a pantograph called "Spring Garland" all over. It turned out really nice. For batting I used Soft & Toasty from Joann's. By the way it's on sale today -roll is $79.00 with free shipping today only. I think it turned out pretty nice. It is in the mail and she should receive it today or tomorrow. She is really excited.

I usually stick to a simple meander or loop. When quilting but YBR is my go to for Quilts for Kids or just a super quick gift. The second one I did some embroidery in the borders to add a bit of cuteness :-)

Default YBR - one of my first quilts

I made this quilt and decided to give it to my sister for her birthday. I quilted in a meandering stitch.

Here is something that is not technically a yellow brick road because it is another purchased pattern. However, the fabric pieces are the same size and the blocks are constructed the same way. The only difference is that the blocks are set on point and setting triangles are used to create a background.

Mine is a bedspread made with batiks. Sent it out for quilting as I only quilt smaller quilts on my machine.

I used SID for my YBR made from vintage fabrics. I enjoy the simplicity of SID and this pattern.

Love all these quilts! I had forgotten about YBR, never made one but it was on my 'to do list' a number of years ago but lost the list, LOL ... now you got me thinking this would make a great toddler quilt in kids fabrics. Is there a free tute on YBR or do we have to buy the pattern?
