Oh WOW Don.....my heart went pitty pat when i saw that stack of fabric.....you were very generous to begin with to give so much fabric away. You've shared so many of your great quilts --- and i know that there is a 30s beauty coming to the Pictures section soon. I think several of your star quilt patterns would look good in 30s fabric.

Wowser! What a stash! How about traditional 9 patch or churn dash or four patch or log cabin? Google patterns for 30's reproduction patterns and see what you find. I wouldn't do Grandmother's flower garden because I am too impatient to be precise enough, but you might love it. Good luck whatever you decide! froggyintexas

Some of these ladies would look pretty in those fabrics. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...ml#post5911784

What a windfall. Good Luck. With your talent, you will come up with something.

WOW. You were very generous giving her all that fabric, and I think it was nice of her to return the favor, letting you use the fabric in her stead. I can see lots of scrappy quilts, baby quilts, etc., etc. the possibilities are endless. For some reason a Double Wedding Ring quilt just popped into my head, but the fabrics look beautiful.

I just saw a scrappy 9 patch Irish chain that was beautiful. I think the 9P blocks were made up of 2.5" squares and the background was scrappy tone on tones in whites and beiges.

Anything with stars would be great.

There is a book by Elenor Burns called Egg Money Quilts which is for 30's repo fabrics.
