Am I the only one who likes Sid???

Maybe it's My hand quilting background. Don't get me wrong I do like the pretty machine & hand quilting that I see here & at quilt shops & shows. I still like the way SID shows off the piecing.

I love it too just for the same reason. I like the way it shows off the piecing too. Just wish you could see the stitching on the front as well as the back. My last one I SID I used a variegated on a black back and the pattern I chose was nice on the back so two goals reached. Made the pieces stand out and showed up beautifully on back. I don't use a SID foot. Never had one, but then again, I am a hand stitcher up until now. I am doing a machine quilt next. Good post. Can't wait to read more.

The SID foot is a new name for the edge foot/joining foot that comes with most machines.

as a hand quilter ~ i can't stand SID - can't see where others have been. I have to disagree about it showing the pieces off more - but that's just my opinion...

It is stitching in the ditch, or quilting right in the seam lines of your pattern.

I love the way that Sid makes each piece pillow.

I like SID, but I get really frustrated when I go crooked. That really shows....
