Size of Fabric for King Size Pillowcases ?
Could someone please tell me the best cutting size to make king size pillowcases ? We have queen, daughters have king and I want to make them cases out of nice new bed sheets I have. Did not want to make skimpy or too big. Thanks !

Why not ask them what size works for them?
Just ask for the finished size of the cases they like now, laying flat.
If they want them bigger/smaller, shorter/longer, then they can tell you
Such as .... they fit around, but I would like them to be 2" longer.
That way you can be sure to get it "right" to their likings!
Each daughter may differ in the size,
as they each may have different pillows that fit the cases differently.

Ask them what size they want, my husband is a big guy, big broad shoulders. He uses a much thicker bigger pillow than a lot of people. I make pillowcases that are huge compared to the store bought ones that I struggle to get on and then they don't look very nice.

King sized pillows are just longer. So, when I made a pair of king sized pillowcases, I just cut the fabric longer.
A regular pillowcase is 27" of main fabric, 9" of cuff and I do 1 1/2" of accent trim.
For the king, I cut 33" of main fabric, 9" of cuff, and 1 1/2" of accent trim.
I didn't follow any special pattern. I just measured the pillow, cut the fabric and made the pillowcase the same way I do regular ones. It works just fine.
