    Default Size of pieces

I saw a picture of an antique quilt from a quilt posted by Barbara Bachman. She did an updated version, and called it Threadneedle street. She said the pieces needed to be cut at 60 degrees, not 90 degrees, but I did not see what the sizes of the pieces were. She said it wasn't for a specific size, just sew together until it's the size you want, or until you run out of pieces.
I have looked at it several times, but my brain is not cooperating. It looks like the long side should be 3x longer than the short side.I was wondering if someone with EQ could figure it out? Would I need to cut it longer, to account for the angled side? It will be hand-pieced; partial seams, but that's ok.

This link has clear size and directions, meant for jellyroll strips.

The 60 degree line should be on most every 6.5x24" rectangular and most square rulers as well I would think.
