Don't feel bad. I've been quilting, teaching, shop owning, designing patterns for over 30 years and I didn't have a clue what "slab" referred to either!
The only "slab" I know is the one my Texas house was built on. Had to follow Kitsie's google idea and opened a whole new world!!

I had never heard the term "slab" when referring to a quilt, either. We're adding to our descriptive language today.

I personally think the term slab quilt(ing) is this person's way of pretending she has something original and can "sell" the idea.........so much of that seems to be happening between tutes and blogs and Pinterest, etc........just re-hash an old idea and give it a new name.
