I have found that works great! I just cut thin livers and stuck a couple where they wouldn't cover any measurements with 2-sided tape and seem to work great!

Hah! That was supposed to be "I just cut thin Slivers . ."

I use little clear like silicone circles on the bottom of my rulers and like them very much....you can get packages of them
at JoAnn's. They don't slide at all.

I also use the TrueGrips from Nancys Notions. I am happy to report no slipping ruler problem so far.

Where do you get the sandpaper dots. Are they a quilting item or at a place like home depot? Thanks

More likely a fabric/sewing store (LQS) would have the sand paper dots.

I took a big chunk of my finger off the other day when my ruler slipped!! Ouch! I am getting some of the sandpaper dots for sure.

I had problems with the film too. Did not help at all. Rulers kept slipping and my cutting was sloppy. Another reason I went to hand applique. Not much cutting.

I bought shower handles with suction cups on them cause I couldn`t afford a gypsy gripper and gave one to a friend- works great. 14.99 @ collections.com.
