Have one and absolutely love it since I also have trouble cutting straight! Get one and you will never look back.

I DO and I love them!!! You do have to be careful when inserting the rotary cutter into the slot, so you do not nick the blade..............I have a few (one for each size strip I need to cut because the one that has 1/4" markings and my math or counting issues leads me to put ruler in wrong slot)......they make really quick work of cutting, no ruler slipping,,,,,strips all all the same width.............you wil not be sorry if you get one of these........If Joan's has a coupon, that may be your cheapest source.

I have found the same problem with mine.
You do have to be careful when puting your cutter into the slot...If you hold it perpendicular to the wider slot, it should go in easilly............try it again.....I think you will like it once you get the hang of it.

ABSOLUTELY.....get the largest ruler you can afford.....you will be amazed at how quickly and accurately you can cut the strips.

buy the 12 X 18.......12 X 12 is really too small - you have to move your fabric more frequently with the smaller one.

Besides cutting strips, I can't imagine an easier way to square up blocks. I think it's great, I use it ALOT!

 I have the 12 x 12 ruler and love it. For me, well worth the purchase. I am saving for the bigger one.
