I use a small SHOP VAC, and it works great no piece to large or small, also can get attachment to do small work like computer keyboards and sewing machines. Lowes has a top that will fit a five gal bucket ( any kind) for about 20.00. I use mine all the time, even to clean the fire place and fish pond.

I also have a portable Oreck with attachments. I really like it. It is older and have used it for a long time.

I bought one from Nancy's Notions. When it came it didn't have small attachments and I wasn't happy with it so I emailed them and suggested they say in the catalog that it did not have small enough attachments for the bobbin area. They never even replied so I'll never shop there again. I hate when companies ignore customers.
