    Talking Smoking Charms update

Don't know if anyone remembers me talking about making a quilt to commemorate that I quit smoking. Well, here is what I have done so far. It's not finished, and I had to rip it out once and restart it. I'm proud of being a non-smoker for over a year now.

Congratulations!!! Quitting is harder now than when I quit 40 years ago as I've heard the cig companies have added stuff to make them more addictive.

Congratulations! Great to hear that you are keeping your hands busy with something productive and so glad to hear that you have one year with no smoking. I am sure it was a hard thing to do but very excited for you.

I suffer with COPD, but have been a non-smoker for about 20 years now. Big, bad, mean, nasty addiction. Be ever so proud of yourself and know that each of us who finally arrived appreciate so much the urges from time to time. But, as said by others, it does indeed get better as time goes on. I applaud you!

    Congrats.

I am a smoker but, I only smoke outside. Doesn't affect the smell of my home nor smell of my fabric.

Congratulations, Kythkat. I know how hard it is to quit--hardest thing I've ever done. I've been smoke-free for 16 months.

Congrats!!! I have quit many times. The longest for 23 years. Now I am smoke-free for 1.5 years. I know how hard it is to do. Yay for you!!! One day at a time, one block at a time.

Great quilt and I love, love, love the EKG (heart tracing fabric with the heart).

Nice placement off the heartbeat monitor right next to the no smoking hexi. Congrats on two jobs well done: quitting smoking and compketing a gorgeous quilt.
