Cool Snap hoop or magna hoop?

I'm interested in which hoop is better - the Snap hoop or the Magna Hoop?

Thank you, Marilee

If we are talking machine embroidery??? I purchased the Snap hoop, and was disappointed. It does not have a really strong "grip" and slides when I try to attach the hoop to the machine. I called for info and was told it wasn't for quilt sandwich...duh...that's what I wanted it for! So I tried regular fabric...slip slip slip...it hangs on a rack!

I also had slippage with the magna hoop. I've found the hoops that are from my sewing machine manufacturer work the best.

I have tried both and prefer the magna hoop. The snap hoop slips super easy. however they have a new monster hoop that grips stronger but you have to purchase it in addition to the snap hoop. The magna hoop is what you are going to use instead of sticky stabilizer or when you don't want hoop burn, it is not for every situation, but I tried it at a seminar and like it, but as someone said regular hoops are better and the magna hoop is not actually a hoop but an accessory for a hoop you already have. Hope this helps
