.....perfect isn't fun and lots of great designs were born from mistakes.

[Also, I was told that the Amish purposely make a mistake in their quilts, because only God is perfect. Does anyone know if that is true or not?[/quote]

I never realized that I must have at least some Amish in me!!!

Don't I wish! I think they have a quilt "gene" in their make up!!

My German/Irish background only gave me the Bailey's Coffee gene!

I am always learning at my expense...that's why I purchase extra yardage for times when mind and hand don't work together. Best of luck on "perfect-ion" :)

I actually have an email that I saved from Simon Haskins, where he explained that Jenny Haskins always includes one thing in her quilts that isn't perfect, she says the same thing, no one is perfect and their quilts shouldn't be perfect either. This was a response to an email I sent requesting that they fix a design that was flawed, they refused. My response was that I really don't need professional help making my quilts less than perfect, I'm more than capable of doing that all on my own. Needless to say, after spending thousands of dollars on her designs and books, I was VERY disappointed.

So, the moral to this story is it might not be us!!

Hugs, Gail

Me too.......hubby says it wouldn't take so much time to finish a project if I wouldn't keep taking it a part. What does he know?? I always tell him, at least it keeps me busy.
