My cat that I used to describe as a mottled gray I now see as a "gray batik."

OMG - me too! DH was watching Meet the Press this morning (or one of those political shows) and the background behind this guy reminded me of a BATIK.

Oh yes, you are hooked, but what a neat thing to be hooked on! Saved my sanity when my kids were teens. If I hadn't been occupied sewing and quilting would probably have gone over the hill or round the bend. grin

Yep, I'd say your hooked alright. Besides being a quilter, I am also a photographer. When I look at stuff I ask myself - how would I take that shot or how would I put that to fabric. I don't think that it's a bad thing.

Just don't stitch and bind your kitty (hee hee) - have fun :-D

I know what you mean - I have a brindled/white shih tzu and it's easier to refer to him as tweed.

I'm hooked too. If you watch Price is Right, the background wall is the "Two Step" or Potato Chip Quilt pattern!!!

Yep ! I remember when I first started quilting I would see so many differant patterns in things or colors that I would say that would be good in a quilt. I would say you are hooked. Your in good company here. Enjoy
