If I had to pick one (and who can ever do That? lol...), I would say My favorite is Quiltmaker.

I'd like to see some of these before I buy a subscription. Does anybody know if these types of magazines are available at Walmart? That's the closest place to me (and even that is 25 miles away).

I only subscribe to one - Quilters Newsletter. I guess out of habit from many mnay years. Others I just look at in the store and buy those that have projects I might be interested in doing. Most are so alike that I don't find it useful to spend the money on subscriptions. I would recommend this technique and if you find one that consistently has projects you like then subscribe to that one.

Our WM carries some of these. I guess it is the managers option to carry or not. You can always call and ask them before you make the drive. Good Luck.

Miniature Quilt Magazine is my favorite...I am trying to buy all of the issues, so I will have every one that was published. I sure do miss that magazine. I wish they would publish that one again!

I haven't bought any quilting magazines in a couple years or so. I use to subscribe to several (The Quilter Magazine, F & P, Quilter's Newsletter, and some other's) but they all seemed the same to me and I never used any of the patterns. I still have all these magazines and look through them once in a while for inspiration (and seldom find any). I think about getting rid of them (my Guild, maybe?)but hate to part with them.

However, last week at the grocery store I spotted Quilter's World and thumbed through it (NO plastic wrap!!) and there was a lot of applique patterns, which I'm wanting for a night time TV project, so I bought it. I doubt I'll subscribe though.....I'd rather spend that $20 on fabric:)
