The BEST way to display a quilt is on a bed.....turn every few weeks. This keeps the fibers and filling even.
If you choose to hang them be sure to rotate the ends every 6 weeks or so to keep them from bundling the batting.
Buy your mom the one you think she will like best....you know her better than we. I have an old wooden ladder I paid $5 for and I lean it up against the wall to display quilts. I turn them often to keep them from bundling the lining.
Good Luck!

I bought a metal 4 rung hanger that hangs from the wall and am not happy with it. I have no wall space for it. I agree with all the women who suggest a ladder. If my kids bought me one of those, I'd be in heaven!!! It would be my pride and joy!
