Stitchers Garden quilt w/o the techniques
Almost 4 years ago I purchased patterns, etc. With full intention to make this quilt. Well...needless to say...I only got 3 blocks done and now I don't like them. Sooo I have a Plan B that allows me to ditch some of the techniques such as pre-quilting the background of each block (boring!). I plan on just appliquéing each block and picking out a few tehniques vs trying to endure all of that "quilting". I will have my longarmer just do the quilting once the top is pieced. Has anyone gone this route?

Sandygirl, I'm not sure if I'm reading your post correctly. But here goes:
If I start doing a project and realize I don't like it I ditch it and move on- be it with the same fabrics or a new project.
Not sure if this is what you're asking though.

I did this quilt and I could never understand the pre-quilting of each block when so much of the quilt still needed to be quilted along with the backing. It turned out great though and I'm glad I finished it and have gotten great compliments for it but I would never do the pre-quilting again unless it was quilt as you go for each block.
