I fan fold my binding and slip it into a plastic bag. Feeds out nicely as I sew it on. I have DMC cabinets and store it in there. I have lots made up. I make the binding when I make the top. Then I have it on hand when I finish quilting and can get the whole job done before it becomes a UFO.

I too buy fabric just to make binding. I love crazy wild fabric and stripes for bindings. The Simplicity machine is a great way to make bias and single fold bindings fast. I have lots of solid color binding made too.
