Trying for upload of 2nd string quilt done as a spider web.
Both my quilts need to be sandwiched and quilted. Hope to be finished by summer. This one is for my son's 40th birthday. If you look closely the black has confetti in it.

Thanks to everyone who posted your beautiful quilts! Wish I had one to show also but that's still on the list.

They still need to be sandwiched and quilted. I've never made this pattern before, but it was very fun to sit with a basket of strings and simply keep adding to the blocks. Not sure I liked using phonebook paper, , it was very messy. Next time I'd like to use muslin.
Oooooooooooh... I like, I like. No... make that I LOVE! Great fabrics -- kinda homespun & comfy. You did a great job! And I agree with you re using the phone book... too messy & inky. I use really thin muslin nowadays.

Oooooh... this one looks like it's covered in round rainbows. Spectacular!

Right now I'm working on a spider web string quilt. I found this pattern, and there are lots more, at Bonnie Hunter's website: http://quiltville.com/ You can check out her free scrap and string quilt patterns in column on left of page. She also has a great scrap savers system that I use. If you look in her post, you'll see the words Scrap Savers System highlighted in blue. Click on it and it will take you there!
That's a great quilt! Don't you just love Bonnie's website? I love her "system". I do 2.5" squares for my leaders & enders & think it's a neat way to (eventually) get a quilt! Thanks for showing this to us!
