I know Cattitued! Most of the quilty things I have purchased I read about here and just had to have them, LOL! But with that said working with the right tools makes all the difference in the world.

I have had a huge battle will June Taylor over their slotted ruler. Of course, I lose when they would not honor their word on replacing the dud I got. The thing fell apart when I picked it up!! Broke in half! Flimsy! I will never buy another one of their products.

As usual I am odd man (woman) out. I have cut and trimmed thousands of times with my June Tailor slotted ruler and I love it. I just wish it was bigger than 12". I bought a new one and am putting off using it until the old one wears out. Cuts are very exact.

I have both and prefer the large size of the June Taylor, but as other's have mentioned, it is not as sturdy. After only limited use, I nicked one of the rails while cutting and now the first slot down is not usable as the rotary cutter gets caught on the nicked edge. I don't know why Stripology just doesn't make theirs longer. When cutting strips using one fold over, you need the length of the June Taylor.

Good thread! I have the 12" June Tailor, and thought it was me! I bought it a long time ago, but never opened/used it until now! I think someone had returned it, because it has two deep cuts on either side, that someone appears to have cut on it. I was able to square up 4 12 in blocks, but not impressed with how thin it is.

I have had 3 different June Tailors and I liked them very much. They ended up breaking that 2" slot - probably where I used it the most.

I have bought stripology and just started using it. It is sturdier than the June Tailor but that price! wow! I will see how long this lasts and then I will make my decision on which I like best

I have both prefer the Stripology. I was very lucky...ordered my Stripology and UPS did their number, by breaking one of the sections......called the retailer....I offered to sent the damaged one back and they said NO! So hubby glued the spot and it works great....two for one.

Definitely a common theme. I will wait a bit longer and try to get a good price on the Stripology then...
