I do the same thing. Sometimes I just sit and stare at the mess in my sewing room...then leave and come back to it another day. BUT -- sometimes when I come back I have a brainstorm on just where to put certain things or just what project to use a fabric for.

I prefer to think of it as not laziness or lack of productivity, but rather as allowing creativity to simmer...

Oh, I like this.....allowing my creativity to simmer!!! I am going to use that line often. ...and my creativity has simmered all night and I am "rarin'" to finish up this morning.

Wow, you have a good eye, to see my cat figurines on the ironing board! I have yet to find a new spot for them, but I will. They were retirement gifts from my school 5 years ago. I love them. (I actually had to look on the bottom of one to see that they were Jim Shore quilted cats. You are just good!)

Still working on this room. Going through old magazines now.

Well, to tell you the truth, your sewing room looks soooo much better than mine. I confess though, that my sewing room is actually a sewing space in my bedroom, where I attempt to get organized, get started, then DH wants dinner, then there is that movie he wants to watch, then it's bedtime and I have to clear off the bed so that I can sleep in it. So to me, your sewing room is super organized, especially by color. Don't beat yourself up, it interferes with the quilting genius.

My stash has never looked that good. My sewing room would be overlooked by burglars because they'd think someone beat them to it. My husband bought me a large sign that says "Organized People are just Too Lazy To Search"
