I don't have the problem any longer with my new machine. But, I used to use spray furniture polish onto a piece of flannel and then wipe the FMQ surface and then wipe with a dry flannel. I thought it worked well. Give it a try as most of us that the Pledge spray sitting with our cleaning supplies.

I took a class for machine quilting and she said to buy a can of silicone spray and just coat your machine bed. It doesnt harm the machine. I guess you would spray onto a cloth and not directly on the machine though. I have a slider.

I've heard on here where others have bought vinyl from the fabric store and made one just putting a small hole where the needle goes. I agree; the idea of the slider is great but the cost sets me back a bit. I'd rather spend the money getting the extra's for my new machine that will help me learn and create better in the future. I'll spluge where I need to and save where I can.
