Could you find a blue and gold like what you have in the quilt ? could make one blue and one gold border. White or Black would look good too.. Good luck. The quilt is very nice.

A brown print or blue print would look nice.

Thanks for the black border idea. I've tried all the sites suggested to find missing fabrics, just can't find that gold or white. I'm kinda glad about not finding it as we are having a postal strike so I wouldn't be able to receive it anyway. So I'll just have to use something totally different & hopefully it will look good. I really need to just finish this.

I'd look for a print that incorporated those colors. A stripe would be nice, or another geometric (chevrons, perhaps). If you couldn't match the blue and/or gold well enough, a medium brown (a few shades darker than the gold) could be interesting.

Nice job! If it were mine, I think I would look for 2 or 3 of the blues in the quilt and border them with the lighter closest to the white and then moving out to the darker of the blues.

I think I would start with a white or white on white print border around the star. This would make it 'float' then if the border fabrics didn't match exactly, it would be less noticeable.

I would get that tone of blue--with a cool pattern on it with white, and use that.

If you can, take the quilt to your FLQS and hold it up to other fabrics. You would be surprised at what will look good with these colors. They remind me of ripe wheat blowing in a clear blue sky. What is your idea for your a backing.? a beautiful golden rose would be great!
peace :D

Keep us posted!
